Jwala Devi Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, where the tongue of Goddess Sati is believed to have fallen. The temple is unique for its eternal flame that burns continuously without any fuel or oil. Devotees believe it to be the manifestation of the goddess herself. The flame emerges from fissures in the rock, and no idol is worshipped. It is one of the most visited Shakti temples in North India.
